Yara Tous takes the same DNA somewhere hotter. Coconut, mango and passionfruit up front, jasmine, heliotrope and orange blossom underneath, then cashmeran, vanilla and musk. It's the holiday bottle. Sunshine, bare arms, late afternoons.

Yara Candy is the loud one, and it knows it. Green mandarin and blackcurrant open sharp, gardenia and a strawberry fizz-candy accord take over, and it lands on vanilla syrup, sandalwood, musk and amber. Sweet, playful, completely unbothered about being subtle.

Yara Moi is the surprise in the box. Pear, pink pepper and blackcurrant on top, tuberose, jasmine and almond in the heart, then vanilla, cashmeran and patchouli. It's the only one here that isn't really a gourmand, and in our experience it's the bottle that wins over people who were sure they didn't like Yara.

Worth knowing before you order: this is a four-piece set, so Yara Pink and Yara Elixir aren't in it. If one of those is the one you're after, you'll need it separately from the full Lattafa Yara range.

As a gift it does something a single bottle can't. You're not guessing at someone's taste, you're handing them the choice, and 25ml is the size that genuinely gets finished.
